Takt in projects removes waiting time between projects

You can achieve takt in projects when gate reviews are scheduled for specific days of the month. Furthermore, in multiproject environments, you can make sprints in one project while another project is replanning thei next sprint.

Takt in multi project environments makes it possible to allocate members to projects in shorter periods. All work packages are planned as sprints with the same duration of, let’s say 4 weeks. Thereby the organisation finds a rythm and gives team members a needed planned break for restitution between sprints

Successcriteria for takt in projects:

  • The takt is established at portfolio level
  • Frequent and fixed review meetings are planned for each sprints
  • Fixed breaks for restitution are planned between sprints
